Broadway in the Park

Today I checked out Broadway in Bryant Park. Some of the musicals from Broadway come out and do a few numbers during lunchtime.

A nice lady sitting next to me, named Connie, came all the way from Connecticut to see the free show. She took this picture for me.

Here is the cast of Spamalot, which is "a fond rip-off" of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Most of their songs made fun of musicals. I laughed. Most of the crowd takes musicals very seriously. They do not laugh. They sing along.

It was a hot day and a full house. Some of the other preformances were from Stomp, Chicago, and a weird piano man who had his own following of fans who knew all the songs even though his show hasn't opened yet. Weird.
